The brief

What needed solving

The interesting part of a travel enquiry is not the search form, it is the negotiation — dates that flex, a budget with a ceiling, a preferred area. A chat-only assistant that invents prices would have been worse than useless.

Approach

How it was built

(01)

The model extracts structured intent — dates, cities, headcount, budget band, constraints — from the conversation; it never quotes a price.

(02)

Prices and availability are pulled from the business's own inventory and stated as ranges with a validity window.

(03)

Any itinerary is a draft until a person confirms it, and the draft carries the full conversation so nothing has to be repeated.

(04)

Everything the assistant promises is written to Firestore with a timestamp, so a disputed quote can be reconstructed.

Enquiries arrive already specified, which is what actually shortens a sale. The assistant does the boring part; the agent closes.
